[US] Facebook marketplace scam

A user attempted to sell an aquarium setup for $80 on Facebook Marketplace, but encountered a scam involving fake Cash App payment alerts. The scammer sent a text from a random number claiming payment was sent, then restricted the account and demanded an additional $500 to release funds. The user identified red flags like poor grammar, a non-Cash App number, and a suspicious support call, later confirmed by Cash App as a scam.
