Victim identified, suspect arrested following northwest Charlotte homicide

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department charged Anthony Hood with murder, breaking and entering, and kidnapping following the death of Shalonda Hood in northwest Charlotte. Police found Shalonda Hood inside a home on Ciera Nichole Court, and neighbors suggested the incident may involve a mother-son conflict, though authorities have not confirmed this.
