Wadesboro man charged with felony copper wire theft

Christopher Gerald of Wadesboro was arrested and charged with felony copper wire theft after stealing wire from a Power Grid Services worksite in Lilesville. The thefts occurred on May 20 and June 3, with surveillance linking Gerald to the incidents. He turned himself in on June 15 and is held on a $20,000 bond.
