Developer readies plans for Race City Motorpark after land deal

Matthew Erich acquired a 270-acre site on the border of Rowan and Iredell counties for $11.6 million to develop Race City Motorpark + Social Club. The land was sold by Dale Earnhardt Inc. and the Mooresville Motorsports Complex after a six-year acquisition effort. Erich plans to file development proposals with Rowan County.
