CMPD offers free active shooter response training to public
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is offering a free in-person active shooter response training event on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Charlotte Police and Fire Training Academy. The two-hour session will teach life-saving strategies, first aid, and steps to take during an active shooter incident, along with insights from CMPD officers.
