Michoacán’s avocado growers celebrate their Protected Geographical Indication

Michoacán’s avocado growers received a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) for the Aguacate Franja Michoacán, recognizing 31 municipalities where Hass avocados are cultivated. The designation, which protects the region’s unique avocado qualities and supports over 150,000 jobs, aims to enhance market visibility and economic growth.
