Women arrested after 2-month-old suffers severe head injury, placed in medical coma, investigators say

Three women were arrested after a 2-month-old child suffered severe head trauma and was placed in a medically induced coma. The infant was found in a home with poor living conditions, including no air conditioning, flies, and rat feces, and was locked in a room with other children. The mothers left the children unsupervised with a third woman, who did not intervene as older children abused the infant.
