Hypoxia likely killed thousands of fish on Anakapalli coast, says CMFRI study
A CMFRI study attributes the death of approximately 11 tonnes of fish, primarily pony fish, along a 1,500-metre stretch in Boyapadu to hypoxia caused by an algal bloom and oxygen depletion on the Anakapalli coast.
