Man shot and killed by a Southgate officer after pulling sharp object at a Meijer

A 34-year-old man was shot and killed by a Southgate officer after pulling a sharp object during a retail theft investigation at a Meijer store. The 42-year-old woman present was taken into custody, and the officer involved is on administrative leave pending an investigation by the Michigan State Police.
