Ex-Alaska mayor and ‘parent of the year’ charged with sexual abuse of minors

Ulric Ulroan, a former mayor of a city in Alaska who coached high school girls basketball and won a parent of the year award, has been charged with 47 criminal counts related to allegations of sexually assaulting teenage girls from 2009 to 2025. Authorities received a tip in January about his alleged abuse of a 17-year-old girl in Chevak, leading to further reports of similar incidents in multiple Alaska communities.
