Wild add veteran goalie Pickard on first day of free agency

The Minnesota Wild signed veteran goalie Calvin Pickard to a one-year, $1 million contract. Pickard, with 11 NHL seasons and a career 2.96 GAA and .901 save percentage, joins the team to provide depth amid injuries to Filip Gustavsson and trade rumors involving Jesper Wallstedt. The Wild also need to replace departed players Marcus Johansson and Mats Zuccarello.
