The Minnesota Wild did not offer Mats Zuccarello a contract, leading him to sign a 1-year, $1 million guaranteed deal with the Los Angeles Kings, including $5.5 million in incentives. He previously served as an assistant coach with the Coachella Valley Firebirds for five seasons, guiding them to the Calder Cup Playoffs annually. Bickel's playing career included stints with the New York Rangers and Minnesota Wild, and he has prior coaching experience at the University of Minnesota.

The Minnesota Wild selected Swedish center Adam Andersson in the 2026 NHL Draft, along with Canadian forward Kayden Lemire and Czech goaltender Filip Ruzicka. The Minnesota Wild announced a multi-year deal to use SeatGeek as its primary ticketing partner starting July 1 for games and Grand Casino Arena events. The platform will offer features like seat browsing, price comparisons, and mobile ticketing.
