Venezuelan security guard pulled alive from building basement 8 days after twin quakes

A 43-year-old Venezuelan security guard was rescued alive from a collapsed basement eight days after twin earthquakes struck Venezuela. International rescue teams, including firefighters from Chile and Costa Rica, worked through unstable conditions to extract Hernán Alberto Gil Flores, who was trapped in the Galerías Playa Grande shopping center since June 24.
