Venezuelan security guard pulled alive from building basement 8 days after twin quakes
A 43-year-old security guard named Hernán Alberto Gil Flores was rescued alive from a collapsed basement in La Guaira, Venezuela, eight days after twin earthquakes struck. He had been trapped since June 24 in the basement of the Galerías Playa Grande shopping center and was extracted after rescuers initially made contact with him on Saturday.
