Man charged in 1989 Washtenaw County rape, murder case out on bond
Buster Robbins, accused in the 1989 rape and murder of Beverly Wivell, was released on bond on July 2 and has a pre-trial hearing scheduled for September 2026. Investigators used forensic genealogy testing to identify Robbins, whose DNA matched evidence from the crime scene. The trial, initially set for July 20, was rescheduled to October 2026.
