‘Vanishingly rare’ copy of US Declaration of Independence found by volunteer in UK archives

A volunteer at the UK's National Archives discovered a rare copy of the US Declaration of Independence, one of 11 surviving 'Exeter printing' versions and the only known copy outside the US. The document was found in a volume of 18th-century Royal Navy correspondence and is believed to have been taken from an American privateer ship.
