K-9 Santi, a 5-year-old Belgian Malinois with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, was spooked by illegal fireworks, jumped a fence, and was struck and killed by a fleeing vehicle in a hit-and-run incident. The driver did not stop, and authorities are investigating.
