Police investigating shooting outside of Charlotte banquet hall

A shooting occurred early Tuesday morning outside the S&D Banquet Hall in Charlotte's University City area, resulting in one fatality. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department confirmed the victim was shot around 1 a.m., transported to the hospital by MEDIC, and later died. Officials are investigating but have not identified the victim or disclosed the incident's cause.
