Man hurt after tree topples, causing major damage to home

A severe storm caused a large tree to fall on a one-story brick home in west Charlotte, resulting in significant damage and injuring 77-year-old Jeffert Shien. Shien attempted to move his car to safety but was trapped when the tree crashed onto his vehicle and home, leaving part of the structure collapsed.
