    Troopers identify motorcyclist killed in weekend crash on I-85 in Charlotte

    Alex Rodriguez, a 33-year-old Charlotte resident, died in a multi-vehicle crash on I-85 South near Sugar Creek Road involving a Mercedes, Audi, Hyundai, and motorcycle.     Child dies after being pulled from retention pond in southwest Charlotte

    A 7-year-old boy died after being pulled from a retention pond in southwest Charlotte. First responders and dive teams searched for the child before he was found and taken to Atrium Health Main, where he was later pronounced deceased.
