DVAC arrested two suspects in a suspected Tasmac scam. The arrests were made on Thursday.

The High Court has directed the Chief Secretary to form a high-level committee to review the functioning of the DVAC. The committee, led by the Chief Secretary, will assess areas including leadership, governance, institutional capacity, investigation, administrative reforms, technology, and public interface.

DVAC conducted searches at premises linked to former DMK Minister Senthilbalaji in Karur. The searches are related to alleged malpractices in the sales and supply of Indian-Made Foreign Liquor at TASMAC outlets during the previous DMK regime.

SSI is being held on bribery charges in Tirupattur. Manjunathan filed a complaint with DVAC after refusing to pay a bribe.

DVAC filed an FIR over a cash-for-jobs complaint in the Municipal Administration Department during K.N. Nehru’s tenure. The Madras High Court advised the agency not to precipitate the issue until the next hearing on June 23, 2026.
