I-494

Southbound lanes of Hwy. 100 are closed near I-494 on Wednesday morning following a serious crash, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Drivers must use alternative routes because both the southbound lanes of Hwy. 100 and the exit ramp at Exit 7B (Normandale Blvd) are currently closed until 10 a.m. The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating the crash, which resulted in injuries.

Highway 62 in Edina will be closed between Highway 100 and I-35W from Friday night at 10 p.m. to Monday, June 29, at 5 a.m. for removal of the Rosland Park pedestrian bridge. The detour routes through Highway 100, I-494, and I-35W. The new bridge is expected to be completed in summer 2027.

A 25-year-old Roseville man was charged with criminal vehicular homicide after a drunk driving incident led to a fatal crash on I-494 in Bloomington. The crash occurred when Seth Rylee Timmers attempted a U-turn, colliding with another vehicle and a FedEx semi, resulting in the death of Vernon Chu.
