Merkava tanks

Hezbollah claims it repelled an Israeli armored and infantry force near Ali al-Tahir Heights in southern Lebanon, destroying three Merkava tanks with guided missiles and using rocket and artillery fire. The group also detonated explosive devices against advancing Israeli armor and targeted a second force attempting to evacuate casualties under smoke cover.

Hezbollah claimed attacks on Israeli troops advancing into Lebanon. The group stated an Israeli military unit was lured into a kill zone, resulting in the destruction of three Merkava tanks near the Ali al-Tahir area. A second Israeli unit attempting to retrieve the first was targeted with rocket barrages and mortar shells.
