Florida's recent weather has seen heavy rains due to trapped tropical moisture and sea breeze boundaries during the rainy season. Scattered showers and storms are expected, with morning activity increasing due to the strengthening Bermuda High, though rain periods will be intermittent with breaks.

The pause in the rainy season ends as a shift in winds from the Everglades brings increased thunderstorm activity to Broward and Miami-Dade counties this weekend and into next week. Afternoon showers and storms are expected to provide drought relief, with high temperatures reaching the low/mid 90s and a heat index up to 105°.

Rain chances increase through the week as thunderstorms move closer to the coastline, particularly Friday into the weekend, but rainfall totals are not expected to be extreme.

On June 4, scattered thunderstorms and potential flooding are expected in the Florida Keys and Miami-Dade County due to slow-moving storms, with high temperatures in the mid-80s. Showers are predicted to shift south by Saturday, followed by a return of typical rainy season showers by the weekend.
