Qantas Airways plans to launch a 22-hour nonstop flight between London and Sydney using modified Airbus A350-1000 jets starting October next year. The flight will cover 17,015 kilometers, surpassing Singapore Airlines' current longest direct route, and will carry 238 passengers, including 140 in economy class. Sharon Petersen of AirlineRatings noted concerns about 22-hour economy flights but acknowledged enhanced legroom and a Wellbeing Zone for passengers.
