Iran begins a procession through Tehran for Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s funeral
Iran began a funeral procession in Tehran for Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, whose flag-draped coffin and those of family members killed in an airstrike on Feb. 28 will be transported to Mehrabad International Airport before being taken to Mashhad for burial. The U.S. has paused negotiations with Iran regarding the Strait of Hormuz, nuclear program, and war resolution until after the burial.
